Daily Message 10.12.11

Motivational Quote of the Day from Nightingale.com:
"Success is almost totally dependent upon drive and persistence. The extra energy required to make another effort or try
another approach is the secret of winning."
— Denis Waitley: American motivational speaker

Abraham-Hicks Publications:
So many people need you to behave in a certain way for them to feel good. They condemn you for your selfishness. "How dare you be so selfish as to follow what makes you feel good? You should follow what makes us feel good." At an early age, you were convinced that you weren't smart enough to know and that somebody else should make the decisions... You could not live in this culture during the times of your life without getting a huge amount of information relative to that, just in the way people respond to the things you do and say.

Daily Feng Shui Tip:

Shorter early autumn days and longer cooler nights might have many of us pulling out the shawls and sweaters to finally replace those Indian summer swimsuits we've been traipsing around in for months. Just as the seasons shift, your wardrobe should do the same. Just be sure to remember that you must never wear anything that has outlived its own existence, no matter how old and dearly beloved. Any of your old (or new!) clothes that are torn, ripped or stained should be ousted along with the negative energies that Feng Shui says they can potentially create. According to this philosophy, old and tattered clothes are believed to possess 'poverty' energy, and as such will bring the wearer bad fortune and grim luck. So go ahead and gather all the clothes that have seen better days and get rid of them. You never know, the room you make in your closet by getting rid of your worn wardrobe might just see someone else's new one taking up some of that spare space. Just sayin'!

Daily Dream Decoder:
Movie

Attending
What kind of movie do you go see and with whom? If this is among the most memorable dream images, you may be trying to initiate or resolve a relationship issue by watching others portray it. The movie plot will often provide guidance on how to do this. Even if the movie is a film with nonsensical or overwhelmingly destructive events, your subconscious chose it for some desire that lurks below the surface.
You may be searching for a vicarious substitution for a life you consider mundane. In the film, what particularly (un)satisfactory events are portrayed by whom and how do those events parallel your own life?
Starring In
One of the strangest feelings to have is the dream that includes watching yourself in a movie. For starters, you are two places at once-watching yourself and being in the movie. While sometimes your dream logic says, oh yeah, this is a film I am in, o ther times it fails you. These turn into dream events that contain an out-of-body experience.
In either case, there is often a sense of derealization of whatever is occurring in the movie plot. There can be several reasons for this. One is to lower the psychological pain of a dream. Since you are watching yourself in the dream, you can reinforce your defense mechanism even in the subconscious state by saying, It's only a dream. Another is to allow you to evaluate the events more objectively. Insight requires self-awareness. Self-awareness requires being able to discern your power and action in the world. The movie makes power and action more observable.
The other version of the movie dream is simple wish-fulfillment. Hey, you oughtta be in pictures. So you are.
Is your life so good or so bad that at times you wonder when the dream will end? These feelings in waking life can create derealization in dreaming perceptions.

Daily Wish:

If you find a hairpin, hang it on a nail and make a wish. Some say the nail should be rusty.
If you find a hairpin, hang it on a wire or nail and make a wish as you say:
'Hairpin; wind spin.'
If the wind ever blows the hairpin off the wire or nail, the wish you made on it will come true.
If you find a hairpin, hang it in a tree and wish for a letter from someone in particular.
