Daily Message 12.19.11

Motivational Quote of the Day
"The biggest mistake that you can make is
to believe that you are working for somebody else.
Job security is gone. The driving force of a career
must come from the individual. Remember: Jobs are owned by the company, you own your career!"
— Earl Nightingale: was an American motivational speaker and author

We are really advocates of just getting as happy as you can be—which takes care of everything. Even if you don't have reason to be happy—make it up. Fantasize it. Make a decision that you're going to be happy one way or another—no matter what. "No matter what, I'm going to be happy! If I have to ignore everybody; if I have to never watch television again; if I have to never pick up a newspaper again, I'm going to be happy. If I never have to see that person's face again, I'm going to be happy. If I have to see that person's face, I'm going to find something to see in that person's face that makes me happy. I'm going to be happy. I'm going to be happy. I'm going to be happy."

Start telling a better-feeling story about the things that are important to you. Do not write your story like a factual documentary, weighing all the pros and cons of your experience, but instead tell the uplifting, fanciful, magical story of the wonder of your own life and watch what happens. It will feel like magic as your life begins to transform right before yours eyes, but it is not by magic. It is by the power of the Laws of the Universe and your deliberate alignment with those Laws.

Most of you do not believe that it is your natural state of being to be well.

Daily Feng Shui Tip

At this holiday time of year you might not need to go any further than your front parlor to fulfill today's 'Look For An Evergreen' energies. Bringing home an evergreen is not only a lovely holiday custom, but Feng Shui says that doing so can bring much more than just something to put your presents under. For a host of different reasons, the evergreen is the most popularly painted tree in Oriental artwork. Because it can survive in the harshest of winters and because it never sheds its needles, the evergreen is considered the perfect representation of eternal friendship, durability and a long and purpose-filled life. The ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius once wrote about the evergreen, 'Its stillness is what lengthens its life,' inferring that we have much to learn about longevity from this heartiest of pines. Feng Shui also says that decorating the house with pine branches during the darkest days of winter will bring a sense of calm and peace while also allowing relation ships to remain eternally fresh, healthy and youthful! Decorate your evergreen with crystals and the gift of a long and healthy life might just trump anything that jolly old Saint Nick could give you!

Daily Dream Decoder
Separation

Separation can relate to abandonment, marriage, friendship, career, or geographic upheaval. Many times, the subconscious impulses of personality are less mature in their problem-solving than the conscious, waking self. The function of ego is to filter these impulses so they do not get out into waking life. However, since the ego is turned off in sleeping, the immaturity of the id will have us walking away from our marriages, jobs, friendships, etc. at the drop of a hat.
Being separated is different than being quarantined, abandoned, or quitting in that it is often mutual. In dreams, other characters can be more cooperative, since it is our subconscious that is controlling their actions.
Who or what were you separated from in the dream, and did it seem like a permanent or temporary condition?
Was the separation easily decided, or was it gut-wrenching?
Eagle

The eagle is an important Native American symbol, as well as having a place in the ancient literature of Greeks and Hebrews. All these images exist in our common-day lore on roughly equal terms.
The eagle is a symbol of great wisdom and vision in the lore of Navajo and Crow Native American legend. As such, it is often associated as a sacred emblem that sets the dreamer apart for special uses by the Great Spirit.
In Hebrew and Greek literature, the eagle is a symbol of power. Given its great size and strength, eagles were able to remove even small livestock from the herds. This gave the eagle a persona of majesty, power, and fear. To dream of the eagle is to be spiritually validated as a person of great wisdom and insight concerning both this world and the spiritual realities beyond the comprehension of this world.
Bridges

Bridges are interesting symbols in relationships. We often speak of crossing and burning bridges as representations of the opportunities and challenges of life.
Does the bridge cost anything to cross?
Is it a secure or precarious bridge to cross?
Is there a known destination, or is it a bridge to an uncertain future? Do you have particular feelings about yourself as you cross or upon completion of crossing the bridge?
Your answers to these questions may reveal a transition you perceive in your life and your feelings about it.
The act of building a bridge is another way to encounter bridges in dreams. (Are you building the bridge to create an opportunity or to escape from trouble?)
The destruction of a bridge is yet another bridge encounter. (What are you becoming separated from and how do you feel about that separation? Are you participating in the bridge destruction or being victimized by it?)

Daily Wish

A circle of grass that is greener than the rest is a 'fairy ring.' Stand in the center, turn three times, and make a wish. If the fairy ring stays, it can be wished on once every three days. Though myth supposes that the fairy ring is caused by fairies having danced on the spot, it is actually caused by the growth of certain fungi below the surface that produce increased nitrogen.
Make a wish before opening a Bible.
If you see a cow or cattle lying down on Christmas Day, make a wish.
(Europe)
This no doubt has its origins in the belief that cattle kneel at midnight on Christmas Eve to honor the memory of Christ's birthday in a Bethlehem stable.
If you see a cow slap its tail against a tree or fence, make a wish.
If you see an albino (all-white) cow, cross your fingers and make a wish for something that has white in it or on it.
If you see an all-black cow, you should make a wish. If there is a herd of them, there is a very good chance that your wish will come true.
